Spring 2008 Update (3/25/2008)
As of March 15, 2008 registration for the spring season is closed.
We made an effort to find homes for every player interested in participating in the program. Unfortunately, we continued to have a number of coaching vacancies. At this time, if your child has not been placed on a team, you will be receiving communication from the club (either by email if we have your email address or through the postal service) regarding refunds.
Placement information can be found in the links provided below. As we have a number of instances where rosters are full, we will not be able to accommodate roster changes, etc. this season. We make every effort to accommodate every request of each family who participates in the program. However, while serving over 300 children, we cannot accommodate each request.
Incomplete registration forms have been returned to the families to be properly completed. All forms must have the name, address, date of birth and home phone number for every player along with a parent signature. Payment is due at the time of registration unless other arrangements have been made. Financial assistance is available in the form of a deferred payment plan OR working through the Marshalltown Youth Foundation.
Families who did not meet their payment obligations do run the risk of their child not being placed on a team and/or run the risk of having their child pulled from participation until such time that their account is brought current. Player Registration: Fall 2008/Spring 2009
Competitive/Traveling Team registration (IPSL, GDMJSL, Urbandale) is due June 30, 2008. Recreational registration is due July 31, 2008. Player registration received post marked after that date are not guaranteed placement. Team and coaching assignments will be updated periodically until the week of August 18, 2008 NEW!! MASC COMPLEX CLOSED WEEKEND of 4/18-4/20/2008
The MASC Board of Directors has decided that we will not conduct games this weekend due to standing water on various parts of the fields and a weather forecast that indicates continued showers until early morning on Saturday.
The season will be extended to May 31, 2008. Please refer to the ..\documents\s08_gamesched.pdf for field assignments and times for the weekend of May 31, 2008.
O12C Matrix and O10C Blast: we have communicated separately to your coach's regarding your game schedules for this weekend and they will be in touch with you shortly.
O12T Strikers, at this time, we do plan on conducting your game as scheduled on Sunday April 20, 2008.
If players or families have questions, please contact your coaching staff.

to inclement weather
Should rain fall be extensive, as is anticipated during the weekend of April 11-13, 2008 to where fields might be damaged if played upon, coaches will be notified via email and when possible the web site will be updated with instructions.
Recreational games cancelled due to rain will not be rescheduled. IPSL, GDMJSL and Urbandale League games postponed or cancelled due to rain may be rescheduled at the discretion of the league director with input from the coaching staff.
Contact your coach regarding playing during inclement weather.
Team Formation Policy In November 2007, the MASC Board of Directors adopted a team formation policy that aligns with the Iowa Soccer Association. The practices outlined in this policy will be those practiced by the MASC board in forming teams at the recreational, select and premier levels. Game/Practice Schedule The game and practice schedule for the season will be available during the week of March 17, 2008. Coach's will be contacting players the week of March 17, 2008. If you have not heard from a coach at that time you are encouraged to contact them regarding practices. The practice schedule will be updated as information is provided back to the club.
