2010 Spring Soccer Information
We will be having registration sign-ups in December - January. Please mark your calendars. We will update the website once we have dates established.
MASC would like to spread soccer to the whole community. Please let your friends and family know about MASC. We are very fortunate to have such a nice facility to play soccer on. We need volunteers to help this soccer organization to thrive. Without volunteers, MASC would not exist. You could volunteer as little as an hour a week. It is a great way to invest in the future of Marshalltown. Please let us know how we can make our club better.
Traveling Soccer Opportunities Many players have expressed interest in traveling soccer. MASC has recently added 5 traveling soccer teams. Players are able to play against teams throughout Iowa. For more information please click here.

MASC is now accepting registration forms for Spring 2010!
All players ages 4-14 can play soccer at MASC for only $50. We are accepting registration forms. This a great chance to get all kids involved in a great sport.

Spring 2010 Registration Update Mashalltown Area Soccer Club (MASC) has now begun soccer sign-ups for the Spring 2010 season. If you wish for a child to play this Spring, please get your application mailed soon. The soccer club offers an in town soccer program, targeted for children ages 4 to 14. This is a developmental program that supports learning the game of soccer and prepares the players for competitive soccer in the future. The practices are usually once a week and games are on Saturdays at our soccer fields on 18th Ave.
MASC also is part of the Des Moines Junior Soccer
League. This soccer league offers teams from Marshalltown Ages 10 to 18 to

Incomplete Registration Forms Incomplete registration forms will be returned to the families to be properly completed. All forms must have the name, address, date of birth and home phone number for every player along with a parent signature. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Families who did not meet their payment obligations do run the risk of their child not being placed on a team and/or run the risk of having their child pulled from participation until such time that their account is brought current.

October 24 & 25: Last weekend of all regularly scheduled games
Oct. 31 & Nov. 1: Last day to make up traveling and recreational team games
INCLEMENT WEATHER
We play soccer
in sun and rain (and sometimes snow). Canceling or changing practices due
to inclement weather
Should rain fall be extensive, to where fields might be damaged if played upon, coaches will be notified via email and when possible the web site will be updated with instructions.
Recreational games cancelled due to rain will not be rescheduled. IPSL, GDMJSL and Urbandale League games postponed or cancelled due to rain may be rescheduled at the discretion of the league director with input from the coaching staff.
Contact your coach regarding playing during inclement weather.
Team Formation Policy
In November 2007, the MASC Board of Directors adopted a team formation policy that aligns with the Iowa Soccer Association. The practices outlined in this policy will be those practiced by the MASC board in forming teams at the recreational, select and premier levels. |
